The Swanage Triathlon Festival is set in the seaside town of Swanage which resides in an area of outstanding beauty know as The Isle of Purbeck in Dorset.

The first triathlon hosted here was by Off-Beat Events way back in 1986.  Challenging Events have taken over the running of the event for 2018 season and we plan to keep the festival’s proud tradition of a well run, friendly but challenging event.

The Transition area overlooks Swanage Bay with amazing views across the Purbecks towards Old Harry Rocks, the eastern gateway to the Jurassic Coast World Heritage Site.

The event is known for its stunning views.  The bike course has a mix of steady climbs with some of the steepest descents in Dorset.  The run course is a tough trail climb up Ballard Down towards Old Harry Rocks.

The reward is the awesome views at the top!

New for 2018 will be an Aquathlon on Saturday early evening. This will be a 1km sea swim which is point to point and the run will give you amazing views of Old Harry rocks.

In addition there will be a long swim option.
